The weather was fine and sunny as 6 minibuses packed with students from Forms 1-3 headed to Coed Moel Famau. Everybody was full of energy for the climb ahead. It only took 45 minutes to get everybody to the top, even though the final steep section slowed some down. There was plenty of time to enjoy the views and take on water at the top as well as a little bit of kite flying (when the breeze was sufficient!).
The descent down the Jubilee Path was quickly dispatched, but feet were starting to get sore for some and, despite the climb being long finished, the students realised that they would have to dig deep to complete the last section with some being grateful to be rescued in the minibus by Mrs Brown. The vast majority completed the challenge and will now be aiming to collect as much sponsorship money as possible in support of our five house charities. Well done to all of the students and a big thank you to the staff that helped with the event.
