Ruthin School moves to full online and livestream and interactive academic timetable
With the most recent lockdown Ruthin switched immediately to a full online and livestream and interactive academic timetable. Although challenging it is clear that this very high level of visual engagement, the closest possible to being in the classroom, is what the pupils prefer. Weekly pastoral tutor meetings ensure there is constant dialogue outside the demands of academic learning and live sports lessons will soon add to the diversity.
Where issues with internet connection or access to tablets, laptops or phones are identified pupils may instead choose to learn at school. Although missing their friends and the fun of the playground, music and sport the pupils have engaged very well indeed – but we all look forward to real school as soon as possible.
