On March 7th, Ruthin School were very fortunate to have a visit from the North Wales Clinical School led by renowned consultant, Mr Banfield. His team including, Jayne McCall (Undergraduate Manager), a senior doctor and three medical students from Cardiff University gave a very interesting presentation to those who were intending to take a career in medicine. Over 50 students were present to hear the team talking about medicine as a career, life as a first year doctor and life as a medical student. They also carried out a basic life support demonstration and finished off with a question and answer session. The students found it extremely useful and now realise the dedication and the effort required to study medicine.
