Key Stage 3 weekend trips

At the weekend, the Key Stage 3 boarders once again experienced some varied off-site activities. On Saturday afternoon, they ventured to the top of Moel Famau to fly kites. The weather could be described, at best, as ‘bracing’ and there was certainly a good breeze for ensuring the kites flew! On Sunday, they travelled to Chirk for a much milder walk along the canal. They ventured through the famous Chirk Tunnel – 421 metres long and no lighting, not one for the faint-hearted – and along to the Chirk Aqueduct with its beautiful views up the Ceiriog Valley.
