Geography Competition

Our geography department recently held a competition for Forms 1, 2 and 3 entitled ‘What is the geography of your favourite place?’. All students in these year groups produced an A3 poster for prep to show the physical and human features of their chosen location, how and why the place is changing and why it is special to them. Many students spent a lot of time on their entries and the level of effort was clear to see. Miss Williams, Mrs Kenworthy and Mr Orchard judged the entries and decided on the following winners:

Form 1 – Louis J, Lucy J, Jemima K, Joseph K

Form 2 – Bella F, Steffan M, Tilly-Mai B

Form 3 – Teleri G, Ffion T, Nadine C

They also selected Louis and Teleri as the overall winners. These two students had followed the competition requirements very carefully and their posters will be entered into a national competition held by the Royal Geographical Society which aims to find the ‘Young Geographer of the Year’. We wish them both luck in this competition. Well done to all who took part.
