Football Match v St David’s

Ruthin travelled to St. David’s to the play the return match after losing the first match at home 3-0. Ruthin started off quickly with Josh scoring a very good goal from 30 yards which went straight into the top corner to make it 1-0 to Ruthin. Managing to hold the 1 goal lead until half time with Gareth pulling off some great saves to keep it 1-0 to Ruthin.

Starting the second half, Joe quickly doubled the lead with a volley across goal. Josh then got his second goal soon after to make it 3-0. St. David’s got back into the game with a great strike from outside the box to make it 3-1. Ruthin soon realised the game wasn’t over and had to be switched on. Ngoman quickly reacted to make it 4-1, Jason quickly followed this to make it 5-1 with a great individual goal. Josh then completed his hat trick with a great finish. St. David’s began to start attacking with players going forward. Ruthin failed to clear their lines and they conceded to make it 6-2. Joe managed to get his second, with great pressure to win the ball back, and slotted the ball in the right corner (7-2). As St. David’s pushed players forward, Josh got his fourth by hitting St. David’s on the break and Javen scored a great individual goal by running down the wing, cutting inside and scoring. This rounded off an excellent performance by Ruthin. Full time 9-2

Many of players could have been man of the match but with a great all round performance MOTM goes to Joe.
