Annual House Rounders Competition

On their last day in school for this term, students in KS3 participated in the annual house rounders competition. The sun shone down, the temperature was in the high teens and it felt like the summer term. All the teams organised their fielding positions to highlight individual strengths, such as Elgar’s successful backstop-first post combination. The atmosphere was excellent but nonetheless, the matches were keenly contested. Austen and Churchill were 5th & 4th respectively. Only one rounder difference gave Newton 2nd place over Brunel. The tournament was won by Elgar with a total of 13 rounders. Our thanks to Mrs. Morley for organising, and to Mr. Hamer, Ben and our Gap Graduates for umpiring.
