U6 Biology Fieldtrip

Upper Sixth Biologists braved the rain to visit the river at the nearby Loggerheads Country Park. They carried out an investigation to determine whether the speed of the water influenced the number of fresh water invertebrates.
They used the kick technique to obtain their samples and identified the invertebrates using a key.
After counting their invertebrates and getting completely drenched, they enjoyed well-deserved hot chocolates with all the trimmings in the café.
