Swimming Gala

On Wednesday 23rd March, the final day of term before the Easter holidays, Ruthin School held its annual swimming gala at the pool in Deeside.  All five houses were well represented for most of the races and there were many good performances throughout the afternoon.  The following students won two events; Emelia won the Junior Girls backstroke and freestyle, Marcos the Junior Boys backstroke and freestyle and Arun the Senior Boys butterfly and backstroke.

Well done to a number of students who acted as last minute substitutes, in particular Jonathan who showed real competitive spirit.    Churchill House were the overall winners followed by Elgar and then Austin.  Newton and Brunel were in joint fourth place.  Overall, the gala proved to be a successful and competitive event. Well done to all students who competed and supported the event.
