OR Weekend – sporting success

The Rugby fixture  pitched two very young sides against each other and the Ruthin team contained a number of ORs and the Carroll brothers played against each other. The OR side was initially at a significant disadvantage – too few players. The situation was retrieved in that a number of the 1st team were given permission to play and the ORs started well but in the end the superior fitness of the Ruthin Town side prevailed – the second half saw them exert their supremacy. The final score was 53-17 to Ruthin. Meanwhile the school netball team took on a very powerful OR team and despite a significant size disadvantage they kept going  but they could not compete with the power and shooting of the ORs. The game ended with the  score 19-6.
