Katie Piper Visits Ruthin School

As part of the Year 6 Chemistry Curriculum the pupils have been studying the effects of acids and alkaline’s.  The pupils decided to raise funds for Katie Piper and her foundation after an acid attack that left her scarred for life.  A non school uniform day and cake sale raised over £200 for the Katie Piper Foundation and Katie was so delighted with the efforts of the Year 6 pupils in the organisation of the fun day that she came to visit them in person.  After spending time answering questions with the pupils she signed a copy of her autobiography, Beautiful, as a raffle prize for a further fundraiser on the 13th May.  Anyone wishing to donate to the Katie Piper Foundation can do so via the Ruthin School office.
