Ruthin School CCF took part in the Crogen Cadet Challenge on Saturday 25th September, scoring full marks in the team work category in all events throughout the day. Many new students were involved, including Matthew Cheung, who literally threw himself into the challenge when he had to dive in the chilly River Dee to fetch a stretcher as part of the Raft Rescue activity.
The event was the brainchild of Henry Robertson in his year of office as High Sheriff of Clwyd, whose wife Sarah said our cadets “did themselves proud”. Many are already looking forward to next year’s challenge.
