Country Games 2021

On a beautiful sunny afternoon, Ruthin School held its annual Country Games. This is the first inter-house competition of the academic year with lots of fun activities designed for enjoyment and entertainment: the sack race; dribbling a hockey ball through an obstacle course; ‘walking the plank’, wellington boot throwing and many more.

Country Games Competition

Students from each of the four houses – Arenig; Glyder; Siabod and Tryfan – competed against each other in the Country Games in their Key Stage groups. Tryfan was victorious in both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 but were squeezed into second place by Glyder in Key Stage 5. The overall totals left Tryfan in first place with an impressive total of 170 points. A fun-filled start to the year!
