Chinese Parents meet Vice-Principal

As part of Toby Belfield’s tour of SE Asia a dinner was held for parents of students from Mainland China. Several parents flew into Shanghai specially, to meet other parents and to have individual consultations with the Vice-Principal after the dinner. This gave parents the chance to have a thorough update of the progress of their child.

The comments from the parents were delightful. They were particularly positive about the food at Ruthin School and the care, attention and good teaching that their children receive.

This was the first dinner to be held in Shanghai. Toby Belfield is currently visiting China, Hong Kong and Vietnam to meet parents, and to promote Ruthin School. The visit to China included a meeting with the Principal of Shanghai World Foreign Language Middle School (one of the top schools in Shanghai, with over 1500 pupils), to set up an exchange programme so that British students can spend time at a school in China.

Next week, Mr Belfield will be interviewed by Hanoi Television and will give a presentation, organised by the British Council, entitled "Life at British Boarding Schools."
