Charity Auction

On  Friday evening, 21st November, Churchill House held the Auction of Promises with all money raised going to Hope House, the house charity. We would like to mention here the work that Rhiannon Lewis, Seren Audley and Lauren Robinson did in obtaining the promises and organising the evening prior and during the event. They did an amazing job and learned a lot about organising an event of such stature. We would also like to thank students from other houses who helped reorganise the dining room so the auction could take place. The evening was a great success with many people attending and bidding for over 40 promises which included flying lessons, a turkey, cheese hampers, tables, afternoon tea at Ruthin Castle and many other superb lots. Once the money had been added up (from a mixture of the bids, donations and raffle), we can tell you the Auction of Promises in aid of Hope House raised £2235. A magnificent effort by all concerned. A big thank you to all of you that attended and to Mr. Lewis, our auctioneer.
