British Biology Olympiad

Sixth form Biology Students celebrate success in Biology Olympiad

Some of our Sixth Form students took part in the annual British Biology Olympiad competition.

The British Biology Olympiad is aimed to challenge and stimulate students with an interest in Biology to expand and extend their talents. It enables students to demonstrate their knowledge and to be suitably rewarded and publicly recognised by the award of medals, certificates and other prizes. It is hoped that competing in the Olympiad will encourage students already interested in this valuable, wide-ranging and rewarding subject to continue their study beyond A-level.

Our students answered multiple choice questions on two one hour papers. They did extremely well and were presented with their medals and certificates during our end of term assembly.

Many congratulations to our winners: Gold medal – Aran W, Silver medal – Arun T, Ryan S & Francine W, Bronze medal – Claire G, Victoria Y & Sabrina L.
