Annual Prize Giving

The School held its annual Prize Giving with a departure from what had been the norm  – held in September. Thanks to the RSA’s decision to hold the Summer Ball on the last day of the academic year the School was able to make use of the marquee. The chief guest was Alison Halford, former Assistant Chief Constable of Merseyside and at present a Flintshire County Councillor. After presenting the prizes the audience listened to her speech in which she reviewed her life and stressed that despite a lack of success at school we can succeed but need to have confidence and some luck.  She stressed the need to make good use of the opportunities available and how important it was to take advantage of the wonderful educational opportunities they have.
