Introduction
Weekly, full and flexible boarding available.
Pupils are accommodated in one of three boarding houses - Gladstone House (boys in Yrs 9 - 12), Ellis House (boys in Yr 13) and Wynne House (girls).
Each boarding house has a resident Houseparent and an assistant Houseparent. The staff look after the pupils in the evenings, at weekends and in the half-term and Easter holidays. The Houseparents take full responsibility for the pastoral care of the pupils in their house and act in loco parentis.
The School employs a full time residential qualified nurse to advise on medical issues. The school doctor visits weekly to hold a surgery for boarders.
The accommodation in each house consists of either single or double rooms. If two pupils share a room the Houseparent will ensure that they are from different nationalities. This helps their spoken English.
Wireless Internet is provided in each boarding house so that the boarders can communicate with friends and family using MSN, Facebook and Skype. The connection is monitored and closed at 11 pm.
