Our Lower School pupils embarked on coaches on their very last day of term. Another school year over, with all its hard work and commitment, and they were off to spend the day at Chester Zoo.
After the few days of a heatwave which, the day before, had pushed thermometers towards 34 degrees, the cooler air was welcome. The pupils, excited and garrulous, took everything in and their teachers enjoyed spending the day with them in fun, a change from instructing them in formal lessons.
Our pupils seemed very happy: freed for the day, covering the length of the large zoo with so much to see as well as travelling on the new boat trip.
