Introduction
A varied curriculum leading to preparation for Scholarship Examinations and Common Entrance.
In Ruthin Preparatory School classes are small to ensure individual attention. Pupils are allocated to classes according to their stage of development. This is as important as their age during the formative years.
A broad curriculum is followed with emphasis upon the basic skills of oracy, literacy and numeracy, leading to preparation for Scholarship Examinations and Common Entrance in Year 8.
Each class has its own class teacher to care for both the social and academic progress of their children. However, almost the entire curriculum is taught by subject specialists from both the Preparatory School and the Senior School.
Academic progress is monitored by observation, assessment and testing according to National Curriculum guidelines.
