St. Valentine Disco

Pupils bopped the night away.

On the last night before half term (10th Feb) house staff organised a disco for all pupils. Mrs Kenworthy did an admirable job (aided by willing helpers) in decorating the school hall, in a suitably festive and jolly fashion, with balloons and hearts galore. Mrs Thomas and Mr Heywood organised the food, pop and music. On the night the resident DJ, Dan Blight, and Lighting Man, Alex Dowell really made a tremendous show for everyone to enjoy.
And it was a great night: right from the staff pupils strutted like peacocks, jived and boogied with great enthusiasm. Spectacular in his moves was Tom Manktelow; Ethan Xiao made great shapes, grooving in his slippers; even some of the teachers tapped their feet on the sidelines.
Everyone who was there had a good time, and those who were not missed out on a lovely community event. The next such dance is scheduled to celebrate the coming of spring. Watch this space, party pickers!
