A Premier League Weekend Trip
School visit Everton Football Club New Training Facility
The weekend boarding trip to Everton took on an extra dimension when 17 boarders and 5 day pupils visited the new training complex of Everton Football Club at Finch farm. The group, pictured, plus Mr Rimmer, Mr Welsby (Liverpool supporter) and Dr Green were escorted by Mr Keith Tamlin who is an Old Ruthinian and now honorary president of Everton.
The visit included the gymnasium, hydrotherapy pools, the physio rooms, the changing facilities and the indoor pitches.
The pupils enjoyed testing their endurance up the pre-season hills and playing on the indoor full size 3 G football pitch. The day was rounded off with an excellent win for Everton over Fulham. The visit was so good that Ben Welsby, the loyalist of Liverpool fans, said it was better than any Liverpool facility!
