Head retires

We would like to thank all the pupils, parents, staff, ORs, and Governors for the kind words, cards and gifts which we received in a number of emotional leaving gatherings  over the past two weeks. It is with mixed feelings that we leave the vale and the hills which have been our home for the past 17 years. We shall endeavour, in the early days of retirement, to reply to the cards and letters  we have received.  The generous cheque presented will be used to buy mountain bikes to tackle the numerous off road courses in North Yorkshire; this will complement rather than replace our road cycling! It has been a privilege to work at Ruthin and we wish everyone associated with the School every happiness and success for the future. We shall miss the School but take with us some super memories of events, pupils and every day humour. We look forward to returning next term for the OR weekend in November. Many thanks to you all and have a restful summer break.
John & Sue Rowlands
